KCMA Welcomes Amherst as New Member
Reston, VA – The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA), which champions advocacy, leadership, and quality in the North American cabinet industry, is proud to welcome Amherst into the organization as a new member.
Based in Austin, Texas with a newly opened factory in Cuero, Texas, Amherst is a leading national supplier of modular housing, producing up to 600 single-family homes per year at its StudioBuilt factory in Cuero. Amherst is committed to solving housing supply problems in communities across the country, providing real estate investment, development, and operating services in thirty-two U.S. markets and nineteen states.
Amherst’s manufacturing process utilizes modular design techniques to create prefabricated homes that can be installed efficiently and affordably in areas facing housing shortages. In 2017, Amherst further demonstrated its commitment to stable housing by launching the CARES (Client Assessment Resources and Empowerment Services) program, which gives residents tools to achieve housing stability through advocacy, resource sharing, and social support.
