Horton Pedestrian Access Solutions Names Dan Seymour VP Engineering After Rigorous Search
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Horton Pedestrian Access Solutions has announced the appointment of Dan Seymour as Vice President Engineering. Horton Pedestrian Access Solutions is a division of Overhead Door Corporation that addresses specialty door and access applications under the brands Horton Automatics, Won-Door, FLEX by Horton and Door Services Corporation.
Seymour brings 21 years of leadership experience to Horton from Stanley Black & Decker, including seven years in their Automatic Door division. He will immediately assume responsibility for New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering teams for Horton Automatics and FLEX by Horton product lines. He will also assume responsibility for Technical Support and Configuration and Master Data teams.
Mr. Seymour’s appointment to this position is part of the company’s reallocation efforts to combine engineering teams under singular leadership, freeing their marketing and sales executives to focus on growing the company’s transit business and increasing market share of Horton Automatics, FLEX and Won-Door brands.
“Having held roles in supply chain and manufacturing engineering and leading cross-functional teams in the launch of new products, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and competencies to our engineering processes and product launches,” according to Joy Ribble, President of Horton Pedestrian Access Solutions. “Equally important, he brings strong leadership skills to further assist in the development and success of our engineering team.”
Mr. Seymour earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1997 from Central Connecticut State University, and his Master of Science in Business Administration in 2017 from Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
